Why I Collect Original Vintage Movie Posters
People often ask me how I started as a collector vintage movie posters. E 'was over 25 years ago, while in the Navy, I attended an auction with several local original vintage movie posters. I was amazed by the beauty of some of those Classic Hollywood treasures. The first poster, I bought was an "Abbott & Costello Meet Dr Jekyl & Mr Hyde" sheet since 1953. The artwork was just beautiful. I would soon learn that this rare ephemera was not just a fascinating hobby collection, but also a great investment. Many movie posters that I collected appreciated by 50%, after a few years.
Vintage movie posters can take back to the golden days of cinema. Suddenly are in the vestibule of an old theater … The smell of fresh popcorn – not the type that is already erupted in giant plastic bags, as you get now …
There is a great niche market for original movie posters in the country today. Especially in these trying times, do not you like a walk on memory lane, back to the days of the big screen, displaying authentic movie memorabilia in your office or home?
Imagine your walls decorated with taste and real vintage movie posters: We could spend quiet evenings with friends while enjoying poster with Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh and others from the golden age of movies. Maybe like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, danced with grace the walls of your office.
Those that are beyond just "rare", are movie posters originals that are a taste of a simpler time. They also say visitors to your home or office who appreciate true art, whether it is something to be filmed for memorabilia horror movie posters.
A lot of people see the copies of these original posters of movies, but it is not the same as having the originals adorn the walls. And with all classic movies that have been made, like The Wizard of Oz and Casablanca, you will never find a better kind of art from classical times to Hollywood!
You can decorate the walls with anything that suits your taste. Why not decorate with vintage memorabilia film historians as the original posters title = "movie"> movie posters? They add so much joy to your office or den, and are virtually recession-proof!
